The youth committee has decided on the charity for the 2009 rally season. The charity will be the youth ward in Royal Glamorgan hospital, Talbot Green. The youth ward provides accommodation for children when they visit the hospital. It provides a comfortable and relaxed environment where children can unwind, it also helps the children to recover from their illness and helps them through the traumatic experience of visiting the hospital at such a young age.
We aim to try to raise a substantial sum of money for the hospital, by organizing a variety of events such as a ‘balloon race’, ‘bonus ball’ and a ‘bikeathon’. The bikeathon sign up sheets will be available on forthcoming rallies and the balloon race sponsorship forms will be distributed shortly. The money will be used to buy entertainment equipment for the youth ward. We would also be very grateful if anyone would like to donate any unwanted DVD’s or PS2 games.
