Committee Meeting
At its meeting
on 4 November, the Committee received verbal notification from Steven Hewett
that he wished to be considered for co-option onto the Committee following the
resignation of Catherine Rogers.
At its
meeting on 26 November,
the Committee
accepted
Steven Hewett's subsequent written expression of interest and it was unanimously
agreed that Steve be co-opted (welcome back Steve!)
Steve now has responsibility for Advertising and Publicity - so if you
require an advertisement in next years Rally Handbook, please
contact Steve. Contact details can be found on page 1 of the Rally Handbook.

At its meeting on 4 November, the Committee received notice of
resignation from Mrs Catherine Rogers which was accepted with regret. Catherine
was Secretary of the Centre from 2006-08 and was re-elected onto the Committee
as a member at the AGM held in October. Unfortunately work commitments have
resulted in her having to resign. We would like to express our sincere thanks to
Catherine for her hard work and contribution to the Centre and to wish her all
the very best for the future.

Halloween Rally (Gateway)
There is no extra charge for the Bonfire and Fireworks on the Saturday Night
for members attending the rally.

This weekend is full of fun and games for children of all ages, and we will be
having a surprise visit from Santa also
there will be a children's disco on both evenings. Don't forget this
rally runs in line with the Children's Treat on the Saturday morning it's up to
the Rhondda Bowl, where the children will have a meal and presentation after the
bowling,
so don't miss out on this fun filled weekend. Contact either marshal to book

New Year Rally at Gateway:
Cost per night £25 (minimum of 3 nights) for any 3 consecutive nights from
Monday to Thursday plus rally fee of £1.15 per night any extra nights will be
charged at £12.00 per night. The price includes Live Entertainment from the
Tuesday on and
a buffet on New Years Eve.
Anyone wishing to book, please forward booking slip and £10.00 deposit to Peter
Crockett no later than 31st October 2008, final figures have to be submitted by
this date as requested by the management of Gateway Caravan Park. Anyone
requesting to book after this date may be declined.

Halloween Rally (Gateway)
The competition for this rally is the best decorated caravan window,
so pull out all your best halloween decorations.
Gateway will be holding a fancy dress competition on the Friday evening in the
club house, run by the management,
also on the Saturday evening they will be having a bonfire and fireworks. If you
require any further information please contact the rally marshals, contact
details on page 45 of the Rally Handbook.

Due to the condition of field (flooded) this weekend rally at Tredegar House has unfortunately been cancelled, we apologies for this inconvenience.
26th Aug
South Wales Centre romped home with the Inter Centre Cup with 20 points at the 56th Welsh National hosted by Gwent Centre. Congratulations to all competitors and supporters of the rally.
57th Welsh National hosted by West Wales the venue is Pembrey Country Park, Dyfed 27th Aug - 1st Sept 09. Booking forms can be
obtained from any member of the committee

Follow on rally 25 - 31Aug, we are unable to find a suitable alternative venue to run this rally, we apologise for this inconvenience. There will be NO rally for these dates.
Change of Rally Marshal for Cider Farm, Much Marcle 19 - 21 Sept The marshals for this Rally is Ceri & Chris Chat, contact details can be found on page 1 of Rally Book, please note that this is a limited rally to 40 units.
Bonfire Rally dates in rally book are incorrect, correct date for this rally 7 - 9 Nov. Please book early to avoid disappointment as this rally is limited to 100 units.
